Dual-Boot Method TouchWiz and any AOSP ROM on Galaxy S4

Samsung Galaxy S4 is a good product in terms of hardware and software . It is considered the pride of the manufacturer. The device comes in two versions that are running versions of the manufacturer (TouchWiz) and operating system version running genuine from Google Play . If you want to experience both variants of the same operating system on the smartphone of you, read the article that Vietnamandroid will introduce to you shortly. We will use Rom Switcher allows Grarak can start at any TouchWiz and AOSP ROM on Galaxy S4.

The AOSP ROM basically running from the cache partition and the location for the cache partition TouchWiz ROM was changed. Note that the ROM is currently in alpha status, although it works pretty well on the device according to the manufacturer's comments and the consumer.

• There are devices Samsung Galaxy S4 international version I9500 running stock ROM.
• Access the root and TWRP or ClockworkMod custom recovery as being installed on the phone.
• Any custom AOSP ROM fits device.
• Application packages Grapp latest.
• Utility to store and free 7-Zip
• A text editor such as Notepad + + is quite similar (built-in Windows Notepad can provide current format issues)
• ROM Switcher

Carry out installation

• Open the downloaded AOSP ROM in 7-zip (or archive utility that you choose)
• In META-INF/com / google / android / updater and then pull out the file to your desktop-script or any Windows Explorer window.
• Open the updater-script file in NotePage + +
• Find this line

mount ("ext4", "EMMC", "/ dev/block/mmcblk0p20", "/ system"),
and then replace it with mount ("ext4", "EMMC", "/ dev/block/mmcblk0p19" "/ system");

• Now look at the two lines (they can be located close to each other) and delete them:

mount ("ext4", "EMMC", "/ dev/block/mmcblk0p20", "0", "/ system"),
and package_extract_file ("boot.img", "/ dev/block/mmcblk0p9");

• Save the file updater-script to the 7-zip with ROM also open in the same place where you pull it out. Indian confirm when asked if you want to replace the file.
• Similarly open zip file of the application package in 7-zip and gapps pulled out a file update-script from the same place it on your desktop for any windows or Windows Explorer and then open it in notpage + +.
• Find this line

run_program ("/ sbin / busybox", "mount", "/ system");
Then replace it with the following line.

mount ("ext4", "EMMC", "/ dev/block/mmcblk0p19", "/ system");

• Save the file update-script in the same way above.
• Move the ROM and gapps package to internal storage on the phone.
• Reboot the phone into recovery
• Flash ROM and gapps package to make sure not to delete anything.
• Restart your phone, TouchWiz ROM back to stock.
• Now install ROM Switcher app from the APK file and launch applications when installed.
• Then the application will automatically install the application, just confirm the steps are enough.

Now you can experience both on the same version of the I9500 Galaxy S4. Note that because the default partition structure has been changed you will need to delete the partition and reinstall AOSP ROM if necessary to fit.
