How to Install CWM or TWRP Recovery ROMs are available for Micromax Ninja A56 and A57



Introduction install CWM or TWRP  Recovery on Micromax Ninja A56 and A57




Micromax A56 and A57 are the mid-end device and has very low user available RAM.Both the devices are having 2.3.5 Android OS GingerBread.There isn't any official update is available for this phone.But there are many unoffificial ROMs are availabl for Micromax Ninja A56 and A57.


To install these ROMs, your phone must be rooted and You have to install CWM/TWRP recovery to flash custom ROMs.So here is a complete tutorial on how to install CWM and TWRP Recovery on Micromax Ninja A56 and A57.

Anything that mentioned in this tutorial belong to their respective owners/developers.We will not responsible for any damage during or after firmware installation.Please follow this instructions at your own risk.

Requirements  :-


  • Android SDK must be installed on your Computer.
  • Make sure that your phone is charged at least 80%.
  • Disable your anti virus if you have any.
  • Get USB Drivers and install it on your Computer using PdaNet.
  • Enable USB debugging option on your handset.

  • Download the .android folder from here are extract it into C>User>YOUR_USER_NAME.
  • Download CWM Recovery from here and extract it.
  • Copy the recovery.img to your .android folder.
  • Open Command Prompt and locate your .android folder that contain the Recovery image. (Example :- C:\Users\YOUR_USER_NAME\.android)

Follow this commands :-
  • cd C:/.adnroid
  • adb devices  (Your device must be shown in list.If not then reinstall USB drivers.)
  • adb reboot-bootloader (Hold Vol Up key while executing)
  • fastboot devices
  • fastboot erase recovery
  • fastboot flash recovery a57recovery.img
  • fastboot reboot
  • Now Reboot into Recovery using Volume Up and Power Button together.
  • Download TWRP Rcovery from here and extract it.
  • Copy the recovery.img to your .android folder.
  • Follow all the steps mentioned above.
Download Recovery Manager from here and install it on your Phone.
Copy A57recovery.img file to your SD card.
Open Recovery Manager.
Click on recovery in app menu.Then click on install recovery.

Select the A57recovery.img file and click om Install.
