Samsung officially launched XWUAMH1 Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean for Glaxy tap 8.0 3 SM-T311. This new update is supposed to improve efficiency and fix security mistakes. In order to update, your phone should be connected with Wifi then go to Setting > About device > Software update
You can also update by hand.This article will give you instructions to install Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean for Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 SM-T311.

Steps to prepare for installing.
·         Backup all important data to avoid deleting data while installing.
·         Check your battery to make sure it is more than 60%
·         Backup EFS folder to save IMEI and important data.
·         Make sure USB Debugging to be active before installing.
·         Install ODIN that is used only with Window operating system. If you use Linux such as Ubuntu or Mac, you can use CrosssOver Utility to run ODIN on your operating system.
·         Download below files:
ü  Odin 3.07
Install Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean:
1.      Extract Zip file from beyond download, you have tar.md5 file and some other files.
2.      Extract File zip Odin, you have Odin3 v3.07.exe file and some other files.
3.      Power of the phone until it vibrates.
4.      By pressing Volume Down + Home + Power at the same time to bring your tablet to “Download Mode”
5.      Run Odin3 v3.07.exe file.
ü  Press PDA and select tar.md5 file here (compulsory)
ü  Press Mobile and select * modem * (compulsory)
ü  Press CSC and choose * csc * (compulsory)
ü  Press Pit and select file.pit (optional)
6.      Connect your phone to PC through USB gate. A note “add” will be shown on Odin inbox. If you don’t see this note, use other USB gate or reinstall drivers.
7.      Select files in ODIN
8.      In Odin window, make sure the device restart and choose F.reset Time
9.      Check 2 beyond steps and press RESTART to start flash process.
10.  When you are done in flash process, the tablet will be restarted and you will see PASS notice (green) in the left box of Odin.
