Using Samsung Galaxy S2LTE (SHV – E110s code) or cellphones from Korea

This article is to help you uproom ICS effectively without Kies approval because Kies approval contains so much risks such as power outages, Internet outages, Korean instruction)

Preparation:
1.    Download and upload Samsung Kies from website http://www.samsung.com/us/kies/. This step is to set up Driver on your computer, after finishing setting up Driver, you turn off Kies totally.
2.    Use laptop in order to avoid power outages during uprooming process.
3.    Use cable zin to connect PC and cellphone.
4.    Power your cellphone off and keep your phone in download mode: Press Volume + Home + Power. You continue pressing Volume up when your phone screen show some Korean characters. After finishing this step, your phone is in Download mode and ready to uproom.

You down 4 files and use File Splitter & Joiner program to dovetail into 1 file: HOME_E110S.UD25.2118_CL450467_REV02_user_low_ship.tar.md5.
2.    Download Odin 1.85 here
After extracting, you have Odin3v1.85.exe.
3.    Run Odin, connect cellphone and PC by cable, PC will accept yellow com in ID: COM
In PDA, you select file: HOME_E110S.UD25.2118_CL450467_REV02_user_low_ship.tar.md5. Remember DO NOT select Re – partition.
4.    Press Start and wait for uprooming. It takes you 6 – 8 minutes to uproom your phone until it restarts. You are successful in uproom ICS.

How to Root phone:
First of all, you download 2 files: Tegrak Recovery & Kernel
1. Create 1 folder named tegrek in your phone’s internal memory. After that, you copy file Tegrak-Kernel-Build-39-for-SHV-E110S-UD25.zip into new folder.
2. Open Odin 1.85, choose Tegrak-Kernel-Build-39-for-SHV-E110S-UD25.recovery.tar in PDA, ignore Re – Partition and press Start. You spend 30 seconds to 1 minuteuprooming phone. So you are done uproomingtegrak recovery.  
3. Turn the phone off, Keep Up + Volume down + Power until phone screen show Samsung logo, your phone will automatically get in recovery of Tegrak. Select Install zip from adcard, choose file kernel Tegrak-Kernel-Build-39-for-SHV-E110S-UD25.zip so that phone will be flashed kernel. After you are done, select EXIT and Reboot.
4. Set Tegrak kernel here. After installing, you run the program and press Enable Rooting. You are successful in rooting the phone. It’s time to set Titanium Backup up and delete programs of KT network.
Note: Every time when you change rom, you do fill wipe/cache for the phone.
